Part 5 – The big reveal
You have worked hard to get this far. Don't stop now. It
is time for the final steps and the big reveal. Are you
ready?
Our quilt is set on point please be sure to refer to the
diagrams or it can become confusing. Referring to the
diagrams will also aid in the proper placement of Blocks,
Corner Triangles and Setting triangles. It is very
important to place the blocks as they are shown in the
diagram or the big reveal may have a kink in it. Hopefully,
putting the quilt mystery together will not be too confusing
for you. If you need help ask.
Row 1 – One 18 1/4" Setting Triangle (QST on diagram), Gem
Patches Block 1, One 18 1/4" Setting Triangle (QST on
diagram)
To the top of Row 1 sew One 9 3/8" Corner Triangle (HST on
diagram)
Row 2 – One 18 1/4" Setting Triangle (QST on diagram), Gem
Patches Block 2, Sparkling Gem block,
Gem Patches Block 2 (rotated), One 18 1/4" Setting
Triangle (QST on diagram)
Row 3 – One 18 1/4" Setting Triangle (QST on diagram), Gem
Patches Block 1, Emerging Gem Block 1
Emerging Gem Block 2, Sparkling Gem Block (rotated), Gem
Patches Block 1, One 9 3/8" Corner Triangle (HST on diagram)
Row 4 – One 9 3/8" Corner Triangle (HST on diagram), Gem

To the bottom of Row 6 sew the remaining One 9 3/8"
Corner Triangle (HST on diagram)
Now the individual rows have been sewn together we are ready
to put the quilt together.
Referring to the diagram sew rows 1 thru 6 together.
Press gently so you don't stretch the quilt.
To see the rows more clearly turn the design 45 degrees to
the right. The rows will become more visible.

The finishing touches.
Borders
Border from Fabric A
1. Sew the top and bottom border to the quilt top first.
2. Sew the border sides next.
3. Press carefully so you don't stretch the fabric.
Your completed quilt top should now measure (about) 53" x
70".
Finally, stand back and admire your wonderful new quilt top!
