Eye Star
(12" finished block, Make one block)           
 

(A) Black
Cut 2 squares 4 7/8", cut once diagonally 
Cut 1 square 5 1/4", cut twice diagonally   

(B) Green
Cut 1 square 4 1/2"     

(D) Yellow
Cut 2 squares 5 1/4", cut twice diagonally    

(F) Blue
Cut 2 squares 4 7/8", cut once diagonally
Cut 1 square 5 1/4", cut twice diagonally    

Assembly & Block Construction of the Eye Star



1.    Sew (1) one (F) Blue half square triangle to (1) one (A) Black half square triangle.  See diagram 1 for placement.

2.    Measurement check should measure 4 1/2" square.

3.    Sew (1) one (A) Black QST to (1) one (D) Yellow QST.  See diagram 2a for placement.

4.    Sew (1) one (F) Blue QST to (1) one (D) Yellow QST.  See diagram 2b for placement.

5.    Sew units from Step 3 and Step 4 together as shown in Diagram 3.

6.    Measurement check should measure 4 1/2" square.

7.    Repeat steps 3 thru 5 three more times for a total of 4 units.

Assembly

    Sew the rows together as shown in Block Diagram.
    Press and YOUR block is complete.

Block should measure 12 1/2" square.
